TOGETHER, WE HAVE THE POWER TO SECURE THE JEWISH FUTURE
The Birmingham Jewish Foundation partners with Collat Jewish Family Services (CJFS) to administer essential financial aid within the community, ensuring that individuals and families in need receive the support they require. Through this collaboration, the Foundation provides funding that enables CJFS to offer financial assistance, covering needs such as camp scholarships, free general and student loans, burial assistance, food assistance, and housing, utilities, transportation, and healthcare costs for Jewish families in need. Together, the Birmingham Jewish Foundation and Collat Jewish Family Services work to enhance the well-being and stability of vulnerable members of the Birmingham Jewish and broader community, maintaining a safety net that promotes dignity and self-sufficiency. WHAT ARE PLEDGERS SAYING?

SUSAN & RODNEY BARSTEIN
"L'dor v'dor. From generation to generation. Our parents taught us about philanthropy at a young age. It really did not mean anything to us at the time. Now I totally understand and want my children to learn the lessons our parents instilled in us. Our commitment to the pledge gives our children the road map to continue the legacy."

MICKEY & STANLEY RUBENSTEIN
"As trees were planted for us, so shall we continue to plant for the future. It is a privilege to be able to participate in this worthwhile endeavor."

JIMMY & SHERI KRELL
"We and our entire family have benefitted from the work of our parents and grandparents who helped build the foundation for a strong Jewish community in many parts of the US and Israel. This has shaped who we are, what we love, and a pathway for an ethical and fulfilling life. We want to pass this on to our children and future generations."

ROBERT & FREDA CENTOR
"As Jews, we are part of a huge family. We feel strongly that supporting our Jewish family is a core value. We pledge to value the moral obligation of Tzedakah by contributing to our family's future. Supporting our Jewish community and Israel is both an act of love and obligation, one that we do with pride and joy."
